Manning Men's Shed

An activity of the Manning Senior Citizens Centre Inc, the Manning Men's Shed was officially opened in March 2013 after four years based in a couple of sheds at Como Senior Hight School.

The new building has been made made possible by major donors and a team of dedicated men.

The primary purpose of the Shed is mean's health.  Members enjoy coming to the shed to not only make items and learn new skills but also to enjoy the camaraderie and company of other members.  The Shed is approaching 100 members and is continuing to grow in strength.

We are closely aligned with Como Rotary and work with them on community based projects.

New projects are being implemented progressively and new members are welcome.

We have facilities which allow for woodwork, metalwork, welding, machining, plastics and CNC routing as well as repairs to lawn mowers.

A lot of our activities involve the repair or construction of items that the general public bring in.

We undertake projects which are usually not feasible or economic to be repaired commercially.

In addition, we sell items such as bread boards, wooden toys etc at market days during the year.

The Shed is currently open Monday through to Friday, 0830-1730 hrs.

Applications for membership can be made at the Men's Shed in person.  Although no booking time is necessary, Mondays-Thursdays are the best days.

Our address is: 3 Downey Drive, Manning.  Tel:  9313 2739.  Annual fee $85 (includes insurance).
